SwissFlex  & 2.5 Eyephorics
Warranty Information

Important information for anyone who currently wears the following frame.
SwissFlex
2.5 Eyephorics
Kazuo Kawasaki
  Eyephorics
                               !!!  December 1st !!!

Two years ago we discovered the distributer of SwissFlex and 2.5 Eyephorics had decided to switch manufacturers of the product being sold to us. The ruse came to light when we attempted to order, on warranty, a matching piece for our patients frame, and were informed about the color difference between the old and new piece.

After a little searching, and asking the right questions, we were notified about the difference in manufacturer.

This may not seem like a big deal, but with the specificity in the color and quality of the frames had been on a decline in the months preceding our discovery of the information, it was the end of our trust in these frames.

We silently removed all inferior product from our optical board, and began honoring warranties for all patients who came in with a broken SwissFlex or 2.5 Eyephorics frame. For two-years we have not encouraged or offered anyone the ability to purchase one of these frames from us.

Why are we telling you this now?

We gave the two-year, no-question warranty to everyone. That time has come to an end.
We will no longer offer any warranty on any SwissFlex or 2.5 Eyephorics frame beginning December 1st, 2016.

What happens if your frame breaks after that point?

We will be charging a flat fee to anyone who brings in a SwissFlex or 2.5 Eyephorics frame for repair.
Flat Fee per part is: $65.00
(Frames are generally made of 5 parts: Bridge, 2 hinges, and 2 temples)

What if my frame was purchased in the last year?

We have discouraged all patients from purchasing these frames for the last two-years, and will consider all warranties expired for these frames as of December 1st, 2016.

Why is Kazuo Kawasaki on this list?

These frames are distributed by the same company, and we would rather not do any business with them.

If you have questions, or concerns about this information, please give us a call.
